My name is Shana Ginsburg, Esq., Founder and President of Ginsburg Advanced Tutoring. I received a BA in Public Policy and English, and a teaching certification, from Duke University.  I worked as a high school English teacher before attending University of Maryland School Law to study school law and trial advocacy. During my entire academic and professional career, I have tutored students who under-perform on standardized tests, helping students in the bottom and top percentiles to overcome anxiety-inducing obstacles to their test success.  I have a 100% success rate in helping eligible students receive disability accommodations, improving test scores, and increasing chances of acceptances and scholarship awards from top-tier institutions. I have helped students with disabilities gain acceptance to Harvard, Georgetown, Columbia, UNC-Chapel Hill, and other top programs across the United States. Ginsburg Advanced Tutoring combines my love of tutoring, teaching and law, and is my way of improving the test preparation industry for students who are too often shamed or ignored.

My name is Beatriz Canals and I graduated summa cum laude from Georgetown University in 2023 with a major in Women’s and Gender Studies and minors in Government and History. I completed the LSAT Boss masterclass and scored a 169 on the LSAT, and I’m currently in the midst of applying to law school, with plans to begin in the fall of 2024. As someone who recently took the LSAT, I comprehend firsthand the rigors and challenges that students face when preparing for this exam. Most importantly, I recognize the strategies and methodologies crucial for overcoming these obstacles and achieving great results. Being from San Juan, Puerto Rico, I am fully bilingual in both Spanish and English, so I am also eager to help any students who would feel more comfortable speaking and learning in Spanish. I understand how comforting it can be to communicate in your native tongue and I aspire to support students who learn best in Spanish! Whether it be in Spanish or in English, I am eager to help you tackle the LSAT and achieve your target score!

Hey! My name is A.J. Collins, and I am excited to assist you with your LSAT preparation, as well as the entire law school admissions process. I am a 2013 graduate of the University of Alabama, where I was a National Merit Scholar, and a 2017 graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law, where I was Student Bar Association President and had a full ride Dillard Scholarship. As an attorney, I have been admitted to both the Virginia and District of Columbia bars. My legal career has been quite diverse, spanning from Big Law to government to boutique to in-house. I have a background in litigation, investigation, regulatory, and AI work. As the first attorney in my family, I am passionate about assisting the next generation of those seeking a legal career. I have served as an LSAT tutor since 2020, and I have assisted students through all parts of their law school admissions journey, including assisting with accommodations, reading through personal statements and resumes, and brainstorming topics for adversity/diversity essays. I am particularly passionate about working with neurodivergent students, as I was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult. I can take my experience with neurodiversity in the legal profession and help you succeed as you take your first steps becoming a lawyer.

I am Jose Daniel Juarez, a graduate of Stanford University (class of 2012) and GW Law School (class of 2016), and a licensed attorney in both D.C. and Maryland. I was primarily in private practice until transitioning to the public service in 2020. I hope to use my more regular schedule to assist aspiring law students navigate through the obstacles surrounding standardized exams such as the LSAT.  As the first person from an immigrant family to attend law school, my path to becoming an attorney was difficult as I had to learn every step without the benefit of any older mentors. However, I hope to use my own experiences to help the next generation of law students succeed by guiding them through the obstacles I once faced.

My name is Madeline. I graduated from George Mason University with a BA in Global Affairs in 2020. I was accepted into multiple law schools and received many scholarship offers and will be attending the University of Maryland Francis King Carey School of Law on a full ride! During undergrad, I collaborated with my universities and various student groups to provide institutionalized support for students of marginalized backgrounds including undocumented and first-generation students. After college, I worked as an immigration paralegal helping individuals navigate the complexities of the U.S. immigration court system. As someone with ADHD and high levels of anxiety, navigating the LSAT was difficult but Ginsburg Advanced helped me better prepare for the LSAT by creating effective strategies while making the LSAT more manageable. Whether it’s finding test day coping mechanisms, implementing strategies to improve question accuracy, or remaining focused throughout LSAT prep, I am here to support you! My family is originally from El Salvador so I grew up speaking Spanish and understand the difficulty of shifting between English and Spanish while reading, writing, or speaking. I am also a non-traditional and first generation student so I understand the difficulties of trying to find the balance between the LSAT and a demanding full time job or family responsibilities and pressures. Whatever it is, I am rooting for you!

Hi there! My name is Sophie and I recently graduated magna cum laude from Amherst College, where I majored in English and Art History. Teaching has been an important part of my life since high school, when I first began working as a writing tutor. I helped students with their writing throughout college, and I dedicated several months after graduation to volunteer as an AmeriCorps reading and math tutor at a rural public school. I’m truly passionate about education, and I understand how much trust students place in their teachers. As a current law school applicant, I understand firsthand the challenges of the LSAT. I can’t wait to help others navigate their law school journeys and demystify this difficult (yet rewarding!) exam. There are countless LSAT prep methods out on the market, but I believe in a common-sense approach that adapts to your strengths and builds from what you already know. I achieved my greatest breakthrough once I began to focus on fully comprehending each question, rather than applying any complicated strategy. Although the LSAT may initially seem daunting, I firmly believe that anyone can tackle it with determination and an open mind. I learned to love the LSAT, and I hope to help you do the same!

Hello! My name is Ellis, and I’m a Ginsburg Advanced Tutoring LSAT Boss alumnus who scored a 170 on the LSAT. I'm passionate about increasing accessibility to standardized test preparation, knowing that these high-stakes tests can be one of the last obstacles between students and our educational dreams. In fact, I've been working on this for over a decade through the Testing, Testing initiative of the Ellis Clark Foundation, a partnership to provide free SAT and ACT prep to Detroit Public Schools students to increase their scores through peer-to-peer Harkness-style teaching and admissions/scholarship advice. I'm excited to bring this experience to you today as we help you navigate the law school admissions process: building confidence, mastering the LSAT, and approaching your admissions cycle with clarity and calm. It's not just the score outcomes we can unlock – my own score jumped 13 points while enrolled in LSAT Boss – but also how much we can learn while studying for the test about reasoning, structure, and how to think clearly under pressure – skills we'll utilize in law school, in the legal profession, and in life outside of law. A Detroit native, I graduated from Brown in 2023 with an A.B. in International and Public Affairs and worked in banking and politics full-time before consulting for nonprofits, startups, and political candidates while also serving on several boards.
